The People´s Deputies of Ukraine members of the BYuT Faction were the first to respond to the request of the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine concerning transferring of funds for elimination of consequences of flood in the regions of natural disaster.
As of 14 August 2008, People´s Deputies of Ukraine members of the BYuT Faction at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation transferred 500 thousand UAH from their salary for the victims of the natural disaster on 23-27 July 2008.
As it was earlier reported, A.Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, transferred his weekly wage to the Fund of assistance to the victims of flood.
The Head of Ukrainian Parliament appealed to the People´s Deputies with a request to uphold his initiative, and address The Verkhovna Rada Secretariate with a request to transfer the funds for elimination of consequences of flood in the regions of natural disaster.
He promised to publish the lists of the People´s Deputies who submitted relevant appeals. "People should know those on whose assistance and support they can rely in difficult situation", - stated A.Yatseniuk.
